Three appetizers I make when you're having people over in twenty minutes

Hi, I'm Brooke. I live in a 166-year-old house in Philadelphia with two kids and a very full life, and I have people over anyway, usually with less notice than anyone would recommend.

These are the three I make when the text says they're twenty minutes out: warm olives over feta, salami with Marcona almonds and lemon, and lemon ricotta crostini. I make them about 90% of the time.

All three fit in those twenty minutes, and lemon and good olive oil cover most of the shopping.

What's inside:

Three recipes.
Written the way I actually make them, start to finish.

One shopping list. All three on one list, plus what to pull out before you start.

The countdown. The exact order I make them in, from oven on to doorbell.

The letter. Every other week after that: something worth cooking, what's happening at the house, and whatever I'm figuring out as I go.

It's free, and it'll be in your inbox in a minute. Pull up a chair.

Where should I send the recipes?

No spam, ever. Unsubscribe whenever you like.

What this actually
looks like...

A dining room that still needs work. Chicken thighs and a salad and whatever's good at the market.
Friends who stayed three hours longer than
they meant to.

Maybe you're waiting for things to settle down. For the house to be done. For life to get less busy. For the moment you finally feel ready.

Nothing settles down. The good stuff happens in the middle of it, or it doesn't happen at all.
